This training will help service members better prepare for threats, avoid common mistakes, and minimize risks to themselves and their fellow soldiers.
Across ten lessons, the course covers:
- How to recognize threats: understanding the types of FPV drones, how they function, and the dangers they pose.
- How to avoid detection by the enemy: identifying the signs that reveal the presence of personnel, equipment, or positions, and learning which mistakes to avoid.
- How to utilize protective measures: selecting the right equipment, choosing cover, and camouflaging positions.
- How to act during an attack: moving safely—whether on foot or in vehicles—and knowing how to respond when an FPV drone appears.
- How to organize countermeasures: using personal weapons against drones, conducting surveillance, and alerting one's unit to danger.
- How to act after an attack: providing self-aid, evacuating the wounded, and handling situations where a drone has failed to detonate.
The lessons focus on scenarios that military personnel may encounter while carrying out combat missions. The course was created by the NGO "Magura" with the participation of experts from the Defense Forces who have practical experience in countering FPV drones in combat conditions.
The course "Countering FPV Drones at the Tactical Level" is now available in the "Training" section of the Army+ app.
